Eight businesses from the BEARI network WHERE chosen to pitch to win one of three cash prizes for $1,000, $2,000 and $7,000.

The eight contestants who pitchED in the May 8 event are: 

EvoNatura, Priyanka K. Naithani and Alka Naithani. EvoNatura is a biotech startup developing biodegradable plastic from upcycled food waste to reduce agricultural plastic pollution and promote sustainable farming.

 

Caribe & Co., Savannah Campbell. Caribe & Co. crafts culturally inspired flavored syrups for coffee and cocktails syrups infused with the flavors of the Carribean and made with high quality ingredients like fresh aromatics and whole spices. 


D’Norah Bites, Dinorah Torres. D’Norah Bites makes all things sweet and savory like delicious cakes, sweet bites and finger food. Dinorah sells these delights directly and also caters. 



Kristi’s Kraftails, Kristi Dukoff. Kristi’s Kraftails hand crafts vibrant, low-sugar all natural mocktails and low salt seasoned savory cashews offering delicious, gluten-free, and vegan alternatives that celebrate flavor and wellness for healthy snack and drink options. 

Ortiz Administrative Services, Elizabeth Ortiz. Ortiz Administrative Services is a tax business offering tax advisory and management services, to help individuals and businesses comply with their tax obligations, optimize their tax burdens, and maximize their profits in compliance with current tax laws. Elizabeth also offers Notary Public services. 


Project Insulin, Eric Moyal. Project Insulin is a non-profit creating its own biosimilar insulin that will be sold directly to patients at cost regardless of insurance status. 


Smart Pro Bono, Baheem Ferrell. Smart Pro Bono is a legal-tech platform that connects communities with real-time legal information, guidance, and support — powered by AI and community collaboration. 



TC Legacies, Tyrra Cole. TC Legacies offers a lux Photo Booth and floral wall experience to create joyful, memorable experiences that feel luxurious without breaking the bank, allowing people to feel celebrated and seen.
